Barbara V. BORRUSCH, daughter of Laurence Fredrick & Bernice Ivena SHIELDS BORRUSCH, was born March 15, 1926 at Carlisle, Iowa. Barbara lived most all of her life on the family farm between Tingley and Ellston. She loved animals and birds. Barbara loved doing anything outside; from caring for flowers and the garden to fishing. She was the ‘family historian’ and genealogist that kept track of the family. Barbara was a care-giver that helped with her parents, brother and other family members as they needed. Barbara babysat her nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Christian Church in Tingley.

Barbara became a resident of the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr and it was there that she passed away on July 14, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Lloyd Dean; sister Betty MASON; and brothers-in-law Linford MASON and Kenneth COULSON.

Survivors include her sister Doris COULSON of Lamoni, Iowa; nieces & nephews Kristine PEDDICORD, Kendall COULSON, Kathlene COULSON, Karyn MALCOM, Theresa CHALOUPKA, Leonard MASON, and Dorothy SHANNON; other relatives and friends.

Memorials are to the Animal Rescue League in Creston and the Christian Church in Tingley.

Interment at Tingley Cemetery. Arrangements by Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
