Regarding these transcriptions:
I have been transcribing the information as it appears. Those that are hard to read I have researched and made notes of alternate names. I have found a few lost souls (white cards) that have been misfiled - such as, one from Pottawattamie County, and one from Pocahontas County. I am letting Steve from the Census transcription project convert these Excel files into his gorgeous text file format (I'll bet you did not know that a text file could be 'gorgeous', did you? : ), but, in the meantime, am converting them to text files so they may be searched right away.
