Lincoln Township Poweshiek County, Iowa |
Biographies of Lincoln Township residents 1870 US Census for Lincoln Twp Lincoln Township contains the small towns of Guernsey and Verona. The town of Verona, about 1 mile SE of Guernsey, did not exist in 1896 (it was a post office in 1870-85), so it doesn't exist on the map below. It does appear on the City-Data "Notable Locations" map, although Guernsey does not. Verona is listed in Iowa Ghost Towns, Poweshiek County. ~source: Atlas of Poweshiek County, Iowa, published by Geo. A. Ogle & Co., 1896.
