Churches of Poweshiek County

Welcome to the Churches of Poweshiek County page!  I am transcribing the church records of this wonderful county.  Because I have roots that trace back to the West Liberty Church of Christ, I have decided to begin there.  During my research in the late '90's, I came across a publication of the first 100 years of this church.  It is still a functioning church today with 12 members. That would make it 151 years old!  Incredible!  The information I am transcribing comes from a 1967 publication of this church.  Treasurer and spokesman, Mr. Rodney Playle, gave Iowa Gen Web permission to include any/all information from this centennial booklet.
