Reppert's Pharmacy was located on Ingersoll
and is now under a different name. Gus Reppert was a Pharmacist.

I would appreciate any more info about Dr. E. L. Russell of Des Moines He is mentioned in a newspaper article in the Champaign County Herald of May 1884: “Dr. E. L. Russell and wife, of Des Moines, Iowa, arrived to visit their daughter, Mrs. L. McLean, and attend their granddaughter's, Nellie, graduation.” Dr. Russell was married 3 times. He moved from Indiana (Crawfordsville?) to Des Moines after his 2nd marriage. Jennie Elizabeth Russell was probably born by his 2nd wife, Emma Hollister Lewis Anderson McLean (05 May 1843 - Abt. 03 Jan 1916) married Jennie Elizabeth Russell (06 Sep 1845 - Abt. 10 May 1927) on 12 May 1864 in Champaign-Urbana, Champaign Co, IL |

My great grandfather Lewis Garret Hook 7/14/1896- 2/13/1964, was sent to
an orphanage in Des Moines, Iowa, after the death of his father Ulysses
Grant Hook (1865-1905). I'm trying to find out the exact names of the
family who adopted them. Sickels, my mothers cousin , lives in
Iowa
Buried in Brown Cemetery is the Hooks. My grandfather was born in
Edgewood, Iowa. In Edgewood and Bolsinger cemetery are Sickels. If you go
on find a grave.com Hazel has put all there photos dates etc, but
still puzzling who the Sickels were, what relation, as later someone had
married into the Sickels family. If any info I'd appreciate it.

became citizen from Austria 3/1900 (have copy of
nationalization papers),
Married Lena (Veverka )3/1900 (have copy of marriage
certificate).
I also have a copy of their tombstone in Ohio. She passed
on at a retirement home in Iowa but was buried in Ohio 1962. I'm
looking for siblings information. They had many brothers and sisters,
but don't know if they were in USA. What towns they migrated from in the
old county; and how they came to America. (ship name and pass. list).
Neither spoke English. Do not know of any church connections. They had 4
daughters. And, I do have a picture of the girls when under 10 years old. Wilma, Minnie, Dorothy
