FOX, James Kellogg Polk, b abt 1813 Clermont Co, OH?; m Rebecca/Rebekah Wills in IN. Her parents were George Wills and Sarah Jane Moore from KY. They sold land to James and Rebekah before going on to Willsburg, OR. Land transaction recorded in Brazil, IN. James and Rebekah's daughter Elizabeth married Frances Marion Quinnett. James KP Fox had a sister Sarah Jane Fox who married a Hesser in IA. James, Rebekah and Sarah Jane are buried in Warren Powers Cemetery, Polk Co, IA. I am looking for exact date of James' birth and names of parents. Some people believe that James was an Indian possibly of the Fox/Sac tribe/s. Census of Polk Co, IA lists his birth place as OH but no proof. There is a Clermont IA. James and Rebekak had a son Van Delishman Fox who was a doctor. He died visiting a patient and was killed by his runaway horse. Nancy Fox married Charles Quinnett, brother of Frances Marion Quinnett. Any information on James Kellogg Polk Fox would be appreciated.
