I am searching for the family of Isreal WILSON.
Family story says the family came to the US as indentured servants. My grandmother, Ethel Hilda WILSON (the name could be Hilda Ethel), child of Isreal and Rebecca Wilson, was born in Coal Hill(??) near Des Moines, Iowa on Sept 15, 1900.
Her siblings are: Leota, Betts, Velma, Ethel b: sep 15, 1900 d: Apr 22, 1967, Ray, Randall.

James & Sarah CONNETT'S children were: Oliver, Mary, William & Catherine. Did this family stay in Polk Co?

HARTMAN - PARKER
I am looking for any information on my HARTMAN line, William N. HARTMAN, son of David HARTMAN and Margaret DIXON HARTMAN, was born in PA. on July 22, 1807. William married Martha PARKER, in Fayette Pa., May 19, 1827. They had eight children. My records indicate, Martha died on September 19, 1863, in Jefferson, Polk County, Iowa. She is buried in Ridgedale Cemetery. Her husband William HARTMAN married again before she died. I was wondering if they divorced or if he just left her.

I am looking for the parents of Martha Elizabeth PARKER, she was born in Hartford, Warren County, Iowa (or Polk County), on December 04, 1850. She married Charles Wesley HARTMAN on March 12, 1866, in Palmyra, Warren County, Iowa. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

Seeking parents of Elisha BEAL / BEALL Lee who was born March 4, 1796 we believe in VA and died Sept 5, 1872 in Des Moines Polk Co., IA. Buried in Old Harvey Graveyard. His daughter Susanna Lee who was married to Stephen Harvey is my line. I was born and raised in Des Moines Polk Co., IA.
I will be grateful for any help I receive on this line as this has been a dead end for me for years. Seem to have most info of his life as adult, but nothing of his growing up years.

Looking for info. on the decendents and relatives of my GGrandfather William R. CLOSE born in Madison IN. in 1816. He and his wife Belinda VARNUM SMITH went to the Fort Desmoines in 1847. He was in the brickmaking business and also a farmer. They had 9 children. WILLIAM b.1842 died in the Army James Norman, b.1844 wife unknown their children EVA. b.1882 and GUY b.1883. Mary F. CLOSE-JOHNSON b.1886; Napoleon b.1851 wife MARTHA, their childen Clara b.1886, Jesse b.1888, Ethel b.1891, Ruth b.1892 and Elvira b.1894. Sarah Parilla CLOSE-THOMPSON, b.1854, Hettie b.1856, Belinda V. CLOSE-WILLIAMS b.1859, Samuel died young. William R. CLOSE married twice second wife Priscilla LONG, my GGrandmother. I have no info. on the LONG family, I do know that she had a sister living in DesMoines. Any info on the LONG family would be appreciated. William and Priscilla moved to Kansas abt. 1881. They had 9 children: Sherman, Rosaltha, Annie Elizabeth, Erastus, Meada, Lula, Arthur, A.P. and Oliver Tom. I have info. to share. Have census records of 1900 showing my grandmother Juanita HORNEMAN , born 1899 in Des Moine Twp, Polk Cnty, with parents... Albert Horneman born May 1875 in Nebraska and Margarette Ellen ELDER HORNEMAN born in Jan, 1880 in Iowa. Margarette had siblings Mae, Hazel, Roy, Irving. Albert had brother Herman Horneman. Margarette's parents were R.H. ELDER and Mary WOOLEY-WOOLLEY? both born in Iowa. Albert had a half-brother named William BAIE also born in Iowa. I'm lookinf for Alberts parents and more about the Elders and Wooleys.

I hope someone out there has some information on these names. I am searching for my maternal grandmothers family. here is what I know starting with my great-grandfather, Unknown MARTIN.
? MARTIN married ? BEABOUT. MARTIN and BEABOUT may be Dutch (Hollander) names.
Child of ? MARTIN and ? BEABOUT is:

Andrew MARTIN, born in Steubenville, Jefferson County, Ohio.  He
married Amanda GARRISON, daughter of ? GARRISON and ? Huff.  Andrew was
in the Union Army.  Amanda's daughter Jenny was from a previous
marriage.  When the family settled for a time in Nebraska, Jenny married
a boy who lived nearby.  He took Jenny off and Amanda had no idea where
she or their baby was.  Jenny was returned to her parents blind and
without her child.  Years after Amanda found her grown grand- daughter.

Children of Andrew MARTIN and Amanda GARRISON are:
        Alice MARTIN, born Bef. 1875; died Aft. October 15, 1932. She 
married Ben F. SAYERS.  Alice had 16 grandchildren, 9 or more great
grandchildren.  On January 17, 1950, Lived at 707 Watrous Ave, Des
Moines, Iowa

Children of Alice MARTIN and Ben SAYERS are:
                Ben (Bud)4 SAYERS , Jr., born Abt. 1910.
                Clifford SAYERS.
                Agnes SAYERS.  She married ? Arnold.

        Blanche MARTIN, born Abt. 1876 in Wadsworth, Washoe County,  Nevada. 
She was born on the return trip from settling in Oregon. On this trip,
they just avoided "Custer's Last Stand."  If Blanche was born in 1876
then both Jennie and Alice were born before 1876.  Ella was then born
after 1877 and Alice after 1878.

        Ella Nora Mae MARTIN, born Aft. 1877 in Des Moines, Polk County, 
Iowa; died January 27, 1959 in Berkeley, California.  She married Allen Dale
BERRY Abt. 1907 in San Francisco, California, son of William BERRY and
Emma Williams.
Child of Ella MARTIN and Allen BERRY is:
                Virginia Hester BERRY.  She married Allison Burr WARE.

        Hester MARTIN, born Aft. 1878 in Des Moines, Polk County,  Iowa; 
died Aft. October 15, 1932.  She married Paull Berant VANSLYKE.  Hester 
went to business school and became a secretary for Paull Berrant Van Slike
whom she married.  She lived at 1410 Beaver Ave., Des Moines, Iowa
Child of Hester MARTIN and Paull VANSLYKE is:
                Martin Blum Van Slyke.

I am looking for information on a Charles Royal HUGHES who was married to Agnes. Agnes is buried in Woodlawn cemetary. She was hit by a delivery truck and died in Des Moines. Charles, I do not know when he passed away, but I know he was injured in a coal mine accident in Des Moines. I believe his father was also Charles Royal. Charles and Agnes had two boys Richard John and Royal Charles. My grandmother believes that Charles father was married to a woman named Carrie. My grandmother married Richard and had four children, Barbara, David (who died as an infant), Edward and Richard, all of them were born in Des Moines, as I was. Any information you can give me would be appreciated. Thank you.

Seeking any information on Peter BISHOP born ca 1839 Germany married Martha PERRYMAN ca 1866 in Lauderdale county, Alabama. Were living in Des Moines, Iowa by 1885. They had two children borned in Alabama . John Bishop born ca 1867 and Mattie Bishop born ca 1869 there could be more children born in Iowa.
