Am desperately searching for information on my grandfather Andrew Thomas RODDY born 1867 in Des Moines and died July 5th 1939 in Des Moines.  He was married to Emma Clare Mengis b Oct 1869 in Dyersville and died in Oct 1941 in Des Moines.  He owned an insurance agency for many years.  He and his family were members of a Catholic church there.  5 children - Katherine Ruth, John, Marie, Andrew and Walter were born but only 3 lived to adulthood.  I have a copy of his death certificate which only states his father John RODDY was born in England and his mother Bridget MCTIGHE was born in Ireland.  Andrew had at least 4siblings  - Mamie, Katherine, Joe and Mike.  Mike worked for the Rock Island RR and may have changed his last name to REDDY. I would appreciate any information at all about these people !   I have a copy of my grandmother's obit but would love a copy of Andrew's obit which would have been in the paper right after July 5, 1939.
If you are related I would be happy to share info and pictures. Please email  lsquire@teleport.com Thanks Lee Roddy Squire

Harry J. JORDAN, my grandfather, is reported to have been a "noted football and baseball star" at Drake University, perhaps between 1888/89 and 1894/95; he was also said to be a "lithographer."  Is there any record of this or of his life there?  [We know that his son, Ralph Burdette, was born in Des Moines in Oct 1896.]  Harry's brother, F. Burdette JORDAN, worked for a streetcar in Des Moines, and married Emma A. PARSONS there in 1886.  Were there children of this union?  When did they die?  Did either remarry?
John H. JORDAN & Mary Ellen BROWNING were the parents of Harry & Burdette.  When Mary Ellen died in 1903 in Utah, her body was shipped back to Des Moines for burial.  Was her BROWNING family or his JORDAN family in Des Moines?  Where is she buried?  She is not listed with her husband and son's family on the 1900 Census in Salt Lake City, nor can we find her in Des Moines.  Can anyone help with any of these queries. Thank you so much.  Please E-mail us at smitty@neosoft.com.

Donna or Dana B. MIKESELLl was born to a Edith Mae (Bates) Mikesell around 1932 or 33.  Edith died shortly after birth of this child. An older half-sister Virginia Mae LEE was fostered out and a full blooded older son Ray Jr. Mikesell was adopted out to another family but no one ever knew what happeded to Donna B. Mikesell.  It was said the father also died early from T.B. or  something similar.  So I guess what I need is birth and Death certificates of the parents and a birth certificate of a Donna  B. Mikesell.  If Donna was adopted out I realize those records would still be sealed, but there is a chance maybe one of the family relatives took her in.She may have been around 5 when her mother died.
