Polk County Message Boards

The IAGenWeb Project now has it's very own message boards. They were designed, created and tailored for Iowa researchers by volunteers of the IAGenWeb Project. The new boards are completely maintained by Project volunteers, they reside on the IAGenWeb server and are funded through donations to the IAGenWeb Project.

Please take a look and submit a query or an obituary. There are also boards for posting Biographies and Genealogy Documents. For those familiar with the now extinct GenConnect boards, you'll notice a lot of similarities. That's because the IAGenWeb boards use the same basic system as the GenConnect boards but with some improvements. You can now do a state wide search of the message boards from any of the board sites. Please keep in mind that not all of the counties are using the new system - yet!

These boards are now the official message boards for the Polk County site. You can still access queries submitted to the Ancestry.com boards or the GenConnect boards but I recommend that all new queries be placed on the new boards.
