Loren Dahling	3 March 2000	(OLAFSSON, HEGBERG) Swen Olafsson (b. 1815), wife Sigrid Pehrsdotter (1810), and sons Peter (1843) and Sven (1847) came from Tännäs, Jamtland, Sweden in 1867. They travelled from Quebec to Chicago to Minneapolis. They are said to have moved from Fonda, Pocahontas Co, IA to Dakota County, MN at some point. The wife of Peter apparently arrived in Goodhue Co in 1876. Their first recorded child there was in 1878. The family took the name Högberg, though Peter's headstone lists Hegberg and Sven, Jr eventually adopted Hoberg. Peter's wife's family may have also lived in Iowa. They were destined for McGregor, but I don't know where she met Peter. It could very well have been in Minnesota. Her name was Mareth (Mary) and her parents were Goran Karlsson and Brita Elsbjorndotter. I hope to hear from anyone that might recognize any of these names. I don't know if Sigrid Högberg died in Iowa, but I know that the rest of her family made it to Minnesota. Thanks.

I am looking for information on Tishenbanner family who moved to a farm in your area in 1889, then to Gilmore City. Kathy Ward *10/2018 no longer works	12 Feb. 2000	(COLEMAN) I'm looking for information on the family of James H. Coleman and Catherine Ellen Maguire. They lived in Pocahontas Co in 1880, lost 3 children "suddenly" in 1880, and Catherine died in Feb 1881. James then remarried in Mar 1881. What happened to those children? Why did Catherine die a few months later and where is she buried? I'd certainly appreciate any help on this one. Thanks.

She married Edward Lilly on 10/22/1868 and they farmed in Dover Township. I have found information on the Lilly's but nothing on Genevieve. Can anyone help me? Would appreciate hearing from you.

Viola was b. 1863 in Manchester, Delaware Co., IA, and d. 1930 in Fonda, Pocahontas Co., IA. m. Willis KNIGHT in Delaware Co., IA 1884 He died in 1894. She then m. ??? Allen, I think in Pocahontas Co.My mother remembers Viola only as "Grandma Allen." We have no info on the Allen gentleman she married. I assume they lived in Fonda as that is where she died. Would like to know Mr. Allen's first name, DOB and DOD, and something about his family. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.Thank you,

Daughter Ellen McLarney b. abt. 1859. Patrick served as "Clerk of the [Lizard] township 1862 to 1864" (Pioneer History of Pocahontas...by Flickinger, 1904). Any iformation on this family will be of great help.
