Additional teacher obituaries now posted and linked: Lavonne Criswell Buss taught America No. 3, 1940-1941 and Johnson No. 5, 1941-1944; and Dolores Junker Scott taught Stanton No. 3, 1941-1942, Preston No. 1, 1942-1943, and Elgin No. 4, 1943-1944; Miss Cecelia Bride taught Garfield No. 2, 1915-1916.
Found two additional Early Pioneer Teachers: Miss Lula Miller and Miss Maggie Burwell, Johnson No. 4, January 1902.
Added a newspaper article about an early pioneer teacher, Minnie Bixby. LeMars Sentinel, January 6, 1902; STANTON: Minnie Bixby, who contracted to teach the winter term of school in district No. 5 has resigned after teaching one month. The cause assigned is that she could not secure a boarding place near enough to the school house to suit her convenience.
