Thanks for your consideration & your Vote! My goal -- to serve the USGenWeb with open integrity.

Will do my best to be available and will share the knowledge I do have with others. I look forward to learning myself from working & sharing ideas with the Board, if elected.

Linda and her husband, Richard, live just north of Ft. Worth, Texas. They have 3 children; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter. Lin retired from the telephone company workforce in October 2004.

INFO ABOUT ME ~ * ~ * ~ INTRODUCING MYSELF

Lin joined the IAGenWeb project in August 2003, becoming County Coordinator of Plymouth County, Iowa, her home county. She is also the CC for 3 other NW Iowa counties, Monona, Kossuth and Sioux Counties.

IAGenWeb Special Project Coordinator: Iowa Old Press and the Iowa in WWII Special Projects

"My Heart & Soul IS in my Love for my Family & my Genealogy hobby passion and My faith in God!!"

MY Expanded Involvement:

NDGenWeb -- Mercer CC and Oliver CC (my husband's home counties)

NEGenWeb -- Assist. State Coordinator and CC for 4 counties: Antelope, Butler, Boyd, and Kearney (Linda was born in Minden, Neb.) Also Coordinator for Special Project - Nebraska Railroads.

MNGenWeb -- Rock CC

WIGenWeb -- Lafayette CC

SDGenWeb -- Assist. State Coordinator and CC for 6 counties: Brown, Clay, Gregory, Minnehaha, Turner and Walworth. (Linda is the main SDGenWeb site webmaster, also -- Linda works diligently with the SD Adoptable counties, seeking new CCs...and has made additional  web server space available.)

SDGenWeb has been a main focus -- especially important in the Research & Documenting of Linda's Mother's BIRTH Roots. Many on the ground visits to Courthouses, Cemeteries, Town Historical museums and Libraries -- My Mom's people were located & Linda has met some WONDERFUL NEW-Found relatives! And all this before DNA even became available for testing.

In Years Past -- During several of Linda's research trips to Iowa, she has been guest speaker at several different genealogy society meetings.

Authored the Plymouth County Pictorial History book -- published by Arcadia Publishing Co., Chicago, IL.2009 * * * Linda enjoyed the hard work and great fun seeking photographs and putting together the Plymouth county history in photos!
