at Mirch [?] cemetery.   The floral pieces were made up of asters, plumosus, nanus, swansonia, gladiola and flow ers from the home garden.

For seventeen years she has been a sufferer of dementia, becoming normal the past year only to be snatched from her loved ones by that dread disease cancer.   She   endured excruciating pain during the last few weeks. She knew that she could not be spared and what made it doubly hard for her dear ones was the fact that many times she said that she did not want to be taken from them.  She leaves to mourn their loss a father 96 years old, a husband, two brothers, Dave Bailey of Quinter, Kan., and Scott Bailey of
Superior, Nebr. also   three sisters, Mrs. W. D. Berringer of near Clarinda; Mrs. Rebecca Buchanan of Tingley, la., and Miss Hannah Bailey, Clarinda. The father and all the brothers and sisters were at the funeral except Scott, who was in poor health.
The pallbearers were six nephews. Clyde, Dale, Walter, Ross and Vern Berringer, all brothers   and Perry Buchanan of Tingley.  Charley Bailey of Des Moines also attended the funeral.   He gets about in a wheeled chair or by creeping, and was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Kummelehne, and educated by Miss Hannah Bailey, he not being able to attend school.. Now after many years he offers to show his gratitude by giving up his news stand in Des Moines and staying with Mr. Kummelehne to make his home less
desolate if his' uncle desires him to do so. PAGE COUNTY DEMOCRAT, Clarinda, Iowa, Aug 3, 1916
