Clara Dickinson
Mrs.
Clara Dickinson, 87, of Ft.
Morgan, Co, formerly of this area, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 1989, at Ft. Morgan.
She
was born July 29,1902, at Mansfield, Mo, the daughter of John Marshall and Emma Jones Hensley. She married Earl David Dickinson in 1921. He preceded her in death in 1950. She had lived in Ft.
Morgan since 1959.
Survivors
include daughters Geraldine Dickinson, Ramona Dickinson and Barbara Dickinson all of Ft. Morgan, Co, Mrs. Loreta Mae Newton, Oklahoma City, Ok, and Mrs. Julia Yost, Longview, Tx. There are five grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Willie Cantrell of Mansfield, Mo, is a sister.
She
was preceded in death by parents, husband, and daughter, Wilma.
Graveside
services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, at Shearer Cemetery near Braddyville.
Memorials
may be directed to the First Christian Church at Ft. Morgan, Co.
Walker-Merrick

Dickinson In Hopkins
HOPKINS — Earl David Dickinson, 53, passed away at his home near Siam, Tuesday
morning. He was working in his garden and suffered a heart attack.
Funeral
services were held at the Hopkins Baptist church Friday. The pastor, Rev. N. J.
Lewis, was in charge.
He
had been employed on farms in the Hopkins vicinity for many years, but had
purchased a farm in the Siam vicinity and had recently moved there.
He
is survived his wife; five daughters, Geraldine and Loretta (both of Red Oak and Ramona, Julia and Barbara of the home and four brothers. Burial was in the
Shearer cemetery northwest of Hopkins.
The
Swanson funeral home was in charge.

Tuesday Following Heart Attack
Earl
David Dickinson of near Siam,
Ia., died unexpectedly about 8:30 o’clock Tuesday morning of a heart attack
while working in his garden. He was born March 12, 1897 at Lonedell, Mo., and
came to the Hopkins and Siam communities from Hartville, Mo., 28 years ago.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Miss Geraldine Dickinson and Miss Loreta Dickinson, both of Red Oak, Ia.; and Ramona, Julia and
Barbara of the home; four
brothers, Lee, of Greenfield,
Ind.; and Elisha, John and Alfred Dickinson of Hartville, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. Nan Wood of Hartville and Mrs. Allie Shaddy of Gardena, Calif.
Funeral
rites will be conducted at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Baptist church of
Hopkins by the Rev. W. J. Lewis. Burial will be in the Shearer cemetery.

Former Shambaugh man
killed in accident
John
Draper, 21, of Aurelia, Ia,
formerly of Shambaugh, was killed in a three-vehicle accident near Larabee, Ia,
this Thursday. The accident occurred one and a half miles north of Larabee,
Ia., at 9:45 am on Highway
59.
Draper was driving northbound on the highway and attempted to pass a northbound semi-tractor when
his vehicle collided head-on with a southbound vehicle, according to Iowa Highway Patrolman Muilenurg of Cherokee who investigated.
Draper
was driving a vehicle which was registered to his brother, Thomas Draper of Sutherland, Ia., Muilenurg said.
The
driver of the southbound vehicle was also killed in the accident, authorities
said.
FUNERAL
SERVICES ARE pending for John Draper, 21, a former Shambaugh resident, who was killed in an automobile
accident this Thursday (Dec. 19, 1985) morning near Larabee, Ia.
He
was the son of Rev. Ray and Margaret Draper of Shambaugh.
Brothers
and sisters are Mike and Thomas,
both of Sutherland, Ia., Mrs. John (Sheryl) Williams, Shambaugh, Mrs. Mark (Mary Susan) Sunderman of Jeffersonville, Ia, and Danny of Shambaugh.

Mr.
Draper was killed in an auto
accident on Dec. 19, 1985 near

Ray Draper
Rev.
Ray L. Draper, age 72, of Sutherland,
Iowa, formerly of Shambaugh, Iowa, died Monday, February 11, 2002, at Cherokee,
Iowa. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2002, at
Church of God, Shambaugh, Iowa with Pastor Michael Hyde, Pastor Bob Batherton
and Pastor Ralph Draper. There was visitation 7-8 p.m., Thursday evening,
February 14, 2002, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa. Burial was
in Shearer Cemetery, Braddyville, Iowa with military rites by the American
Legion Post #98 and V.F.W. Post #9230 of Clarinda, Iowa. Memorials may be
directed to the family for memorials of their choice. Walker-Merrick Funeral
Home, Clarinda, Iowa, was in charge of arrangements.
Ray
Lester Draper was born May 29,
1929, at Sutherland, Iowa, O'Brien County to Lester Draper and Mary E. (Dodge) Draper. Ray died Monday, February 11, 2002, at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital Emergency
Room, Cherokee, Iowa. Ray grew
up in Sutherland, Iowa, graduating from the Sutherland High School in 1948. He
entered the army after attending Omaha Bible College in 1950. He served with
the army for 2 years during the Korean War. In 1951, Ray was married to Margaret Reeder in Augusta, Georgia. They celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary December 8, 2001. Ray attended Columbia Bible College in Columbia, South Carolina,
graduating with a B.A. degree in Biblical Education. He also attended Dallas
Theological Seminary. Ray and Margaret served with village missions in New Mexico for 5 years. Following that, they moved to Augusta, Georgia, becoming the
founding director of the Augusta Christian Day School. Ray served numerous churches in Iowa and Ohio over
the years, having served as minister of the Church of God in Shambaugh, Iowa
for over 20 years. Recently retiring after serving 5 years at the Green Mound
Church of God in Wayland, Iowa. Ray served his Lord in ministry for over 50 years. Ray loved fishing and hunting and riding his
motorcycle with his boys and grandchildren. He also was an avid gardener and
automotive technician.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and son John
Draper. Survivors include his wife Margaret, five children; Mike
Draper of Cherokee, Iowa, Sheryl
Williams and her husband John of Clarinda, Iowa, Tom Draper and his wife Sue of Sutherland, Iowa, Susan Sunderman and her husband Mark of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Dan Draper of Paulina, Iowa, fourteen grandchildren: Jeremy,
Jarrod, Justin and Shala Williams, Heather and Caleb Sunderman, Michael, Nicole
and Matthew Draper, Erin, Tricia, Greg and Tyler Draper, Taylor, daughter of Dan Draper, two great grandchildren: Mallory Lynn Williams, daughter of Jeremy and Megan Williams and Ethan son of Nicole Draper.
Also surviving are his brothers and sister: Darrell Draper and wife Ruth of Milford, Iowa, Eleanor Martin and husband Lester of Aurelia, Iowa, James Draper and wife Helen of Cherokee, Iowa, twin brother, Ralph Draper and wife Eleanor of Wayland, Iowa, and a host of friends and
neighbors all over the different states.
A
memorial service was held 9:30 a.m., Sunday, February 24, 2002, at Maple Grove
Church of God, Sutherland, Iowa.

Chuck
Dunn, age 40, of Braddyville,
Iowa, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001, at the Schildberg Quarry, Macedonia,
Iowa. Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m., October 20, 2001, at Walker-Merrick
Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa with Bettie Hull officiating. Visitation with the
family was held 7-8 p.m., Friday, October 19, 2001 at the funeral home. Burial
was in the Shearer Cemetery, Braddyville, Iowa. A memorial will be established.

Charles
Lee (Chuck) Dunn was born May 12,
1961, at Maryville, Missouri, to Marvin Lee Dunn and Sara Ann (Scott) Dunn. Chuck was a 1979 graduate of South Page High School,
College Springs, Iowa. He was united in marriage March 29, 1979, to Shelly
Van Fosson at her parent's home
near Elmo, Missouri. Chuck was
a mechanic for Schildberg Construction Company. Chuck loved his family, his dog and enjoyed being
outdoors.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Sara
Carmichael. Survivors include his
wife, Shelly of their home,
son, Jeremy Dunn, daughter, Jayne
Dunn, father, Marvin Dunn of Braddyville, Iowa, step-father, Larry
Carmichael and wife Laurie of Clarinda, Iowa, sister, Dee Marriott and husband Mike of Braddyville, Iowa,
Grandmother, Anna Scott of
Clarinda, Iowa, Father-in-law; Kenneth Van Fosson and friend Jewell Gray of Elmo, Missouri, nieces, nephews, aunts and
uncles.

Elmer J. Dunn
Elmer
J. [ames] Dunn, 76, of rural
Braddyville died Thursday night Dec. 31st at Bethesda Care Center where he had
been for the past month.
He
was born Feb. 11, 1916, in Page County, Iowa, the son of James H. [ayes] and
Ida B. [elle] McCurdy Dunn. He
was a 1933 graduate of Clarinda High School and married Mary Ellen Henderson on Jan. 6, 1937. They farmed in the Braddyville
area and Mrs. Dunn preceded
him in death Jan. 2, 1992.
He
is survived by three children: Mrs. Tom (Margaret) Livengood, Braddyville, Marvin [Lee] Dunn, Braddyville, and Tom Dunn, New Market. There are
seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Mrs. Homer (Maggie)
Davison of Braddyville is a
sister. He was preceded in death by parents, wife and three brothers.
Funeral
services were held Monday, January 4, 1992 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with
Loren Daly officiating. Burial was in Shearer cemetery near Braddyville.

Emmett C. Dunn
Mr.
Emmett C. Dunn, 90, of rural
Braddyville, died Saturday evening, December 26, 1992 at Bethesda Care Center
after a long illness.
He
was born May 1, 1902, in Taylor County, the son of James H. [ayes] and Ida B.
[elle] McCurdy Dunn. Mr. Dunn was
a lifelong farmer of the Braddyville area.
He
is survived by a brother Elmer Dunn and a sister, Mrs. Homer (Maggie) Davison both of Braddyville. Also surviving are nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by parents and brothers Aaron and Roy.
Funeral services were
held Tuesday, December 29 at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Loren Daly
officiating. Burial was in Shearer cemetery near Braddyville. Memorials may be
directed to the Shearer cemetery fund.

Services held for Esther
Dunn 84
Mrs.
[Lulu] Esther Dunn, 84, of
Clarinda died Dec. 2, 1985 at Bethesda Care Center where she had lived for
nearly two years.
She
was born Feb. 16, 1901, near Shambaugh, the daughter of Martin and Sarah
Huddle Eberly.
On
May 11, 1921 she was married to Roy [Marvin] Dunn who preceded her in death March 2, 1984.
The
Dunns farmed east of Braddyville and lived in Shambaugh before moving to
Clarinda.
Mrs.
Dunn is survived by three
children: James Edward Dunn,
Kansas City, Mo; Mrs. Ray (Alice Lucille) Boyd, Omaha, and Mrs. James (Dorothy Mae) Williams, Clarinda. There are nine grandchildren, 17 great
grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Ray Eberly of Villisca, Ia., is a brother.
She
was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
Funeral
services were held this Thursday afternoon at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home, with
Rev. Charles Bulger officiating.
Burial
was in Shearer cemetery east of Braddyville.

Mary E. Dunn
Mrs.
Elmer J. (Mary E. [llen]) Dunn,
72, of rural Braddyville died Thursday afternoon, January 2, at Bethesda Care
Center where she had been a patient for the past two weeks.
She
was born September 14, 1919, in Page County, the daughter of Jesse Lee and
Alice Smith Culbertson Henderson.
She
was married to Elmer J. [ames] Dunn on January 6, 1937. Mr. and Mrs. Dunn have been farmers in the Braddyville community.
Besides
her husband, Elmer, of the
home, she is survived by three children, Mrs. Tom (Margaret) Livengood, Braddyville; Marvin Dunn, Burlington Junction, MO; and Tom and wife, Sheryl Dunn of New Market. There are seven grandchildren and
12 great- grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by parents and two brothers.
Funeral
services were held Monday afternoon, at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Loren
Daly officiating. Burial was in Shearer Cemetery near Braddyville.
Marvin
Dunn, age 63, of Braddyville,
Iowa, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at the Bryan LGH East, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Walker-Merrick
Funeral Home, Clarinda, Iowa with Pastor Gary Jaeckle officiating. Visitation
with the family was held 7-8 p.m., Monday, June 28, 2004 at the funeral home.
Burial was in Shearer Cemetery, Braddyville, Iowa. A memorial will be
established. Walker-Merrick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Marvin
Lee Dunn was born November 3,
1940, at Braddyville, Iowa, to Elmer [James] Dunn and Mary (Henderson) Dunn. He was a life long farmer and was also a
trucker. Marvin enjoyed
fishing, horses and also enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Preceding Marvin in death were his parents and son, Chuck Dunn (10/2001). Survivors include his daughter, Dee
Marriott and her husband Mike of Braddyville, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Shelly
Dunn of Clearmont, Missouri;
grandchildren: Jacob Marriott, Samantha Marriott, Jeremy Dunn and fiancée Bev, Jayne Dunn; brother, Thomas Dunn of Clearmont, Missouri; sister, Margaret
Livengood and her husband Tom of Braddyville, Iowa.

Roy Dunn
Funeral
services for Roy M. [arvin] Dunn of Clarinda were held this Monday at Walker-Merrick Funeral Home with Rev.
Charles Bulger officiating.
Mr.
Dunn died Friday evening at
Bethesda Care Center where he had been for the last three weeks.
He
was born Jan. 28, 1898 in Taylor County to J. [ames] H. [ayes] and Ida
[Belle McCurdy] Dunn.
In
1921 he was married to Lulu Esther Eberly, who survives. They lived in the Braddyville area when he was
farming and later in Shambaugh and Clarinda.
Other
survivors include one son, Edward James of Kansas City, Ks; two daughters, Mrs. Ray (Alice) Boyd of Omaha and Mrs. Jim (Dorothy) Williams of Clarinda; two brothers Emmett and Elmer of Braddyville and one sister Mrs. Homer (Maggie) Davison of Braddyville; nine grandchildren and 18 great
grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.
Burial was at the Shearer
Cemetery near Braddyville.

Sheryl Kay Dunn, age 59, of Clearmont, Missouri, passed away
unexpectedly Saturday night, February 15, 2003, at Clarinda Regional Health
Center, Clarinda, Iowa, shortly after being admitted. Sheryl was born November 24, 1943 at Clarinda to Robert
Edward and Verla Eldora (Cobb) Malcom. Sheryl graduated from New
Market High School. January 4, 1964 at New Market, Iowa, she was united in
marriage to Thomas Dunn. She
was a member of the First Christian Church in Burlington Junction, Missouri. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Thomas, of Clearmont son, Perry Dunn of Clearmont, brothers Darrell Malcom and his wife Karen of Carol Stream, Ill., Ed Malcom and his wife Sharon of Pineville, Mo., Tom Malcom and his wife Virginia of Plattsmouth, Neb., sister, Doris Last and her husband Dana of Hartsburg, Ill., brother-in-law Marvin Dunn of College Springs, Ia, and sister-in-law Margaret
Livengood and her husband Tom of Braddyville, Ia. Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents and an infant
sister. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb 19, 2003 at the Burlington
Junction First Christian Church with burial at Shearer Cemetery near
Braddyville, Iowa. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in
her name. Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel of Clarinda was in charge of arrangements.
