Coin Items, Dec 7 - Mrs Nora Dutton, wife of Ralph Dutton, passed peacefully and quietly away last Sunday afternoon at Mora, Minn. about 4 o'clock and while we were all expecting to hear of her death, it brought deep sadness to everyone. She has been a terrible sufferer and death was a great relief. She was a modest Christian woman and that is eulogy enough. To die a Christian is gain, however we may look at it, and we mourn not as those who have no hope. We have known her since childhood and no one can say aught against her. She was a devoted wife and loving daughter; was born and raised in the vicinity of Coin. Her mother, Mrs Harriet Dunmire, went to Mora, Minn, last year to make her home with her. She will bring the body back here for burial beside her father and other loved ones. Funeral services will be held at the home of W.H. Dutton at 2 pm Thursday, conducted by Rev Pruitt of the Methodist church.

Mr McMillen has for a long number of years been a prominent farmer and stock raiser and at the time of his death owned considerably over a section of land in Atchison county, Mo., and nearly all of which he had purchased in the last few years from the profits of his extensive stock feeding. He united with the Presbyterian church at Kassuth, Iowa in the spring of 1865 and remained a member of that Protestant church until the time of his death. Coming to Atchison county, Mo., in 1870, where he has remained among you until the present time. He was a good neighbor and well respected by all who knew him and was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. The funeral services were held at the home of Mr McMillen and were well attended by a large number of friends and neighbors. Rev J.M. Johnson of the Reformed Presbyterian church of Blanchard, conducted the funeral services. The remains were interred in the Blanchard cemetery. The deceased leaves a wife, who is in very poor health, two sons, B.E. and O.M. McMillen, and one daughter, Mrs E.E. Beck, to mourn his loss.
