Sgt. Mervin Mortvedt
Sgt. Marvin Dean Mortvedt,22, who died while fighting with the U.S. forces on invasion day at Leyte Island. He is the son of Mrs. Emil Paling of Ocheyedan. A sister, Mrs. A. Gildemeister lives in Ocheyedan and another sister, Mrs. Lawrence Clausen, lives at Hartley.
