Paving Laid in 1919

Paving was laid on a large share of Sanborn’s streets, the work starting in 1919 and completed the summer of 1920. East and west streets were paved and three north and south - Main street, the street from the Farmers Elevator north, and one at the east edge of town, from First to Fourth. The following year paving on Hi-way 18 through Sanborn was completed across the county.

July 8, 1887
Work was begun last Wednesday on a building between Schoel’s Drug store and Eldredg’s Grocery to be occupied by Trowbridge as a barber shop.

October 21, 1887
Wheeler & Flint will remodel the old Beacom house and utilize the upper story as a hall.

November 4, 1887
T.T. Shaffner and J.C. Ludlow have been plastering and building new chimneys in the Beacom House.
