Jesse Andrew Ramsey, fourth child of John and Anna Ramsey, passed away at his home near Moneta Saturday, February 16th, at the age of 49 years and 6 days, suffering a heart attack. He had been in ill health for several months.
His entire life was spent in the Moneta community. On February 11, 1918, he was united in marriage to Marie Christensen. Four children were born to this union, Mrs. Jenie Birdsall, Alvin Ramsey, Mrs. Betty Ann Ihry and Phyllis Ann; two grandchildren, Jerry and Jacqueline Birdsall, two sons-in-law, Gale Birdsall of Moneta and Pfc. Ray Ihry, stationed in Italy and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alvin Ramsey of Moneta, two sisters, Mrs. Walter Clarksean of Jackson, Minn., and Mrs. Lester Goyette of Chicago. Two brothers, John of Royal and Allen of Calumet, several nieces and nephews, relatives and a large host of friends. His father, mother, one sister, Elma, and an infant brother preceded him in death.
