Former Hartley Youth Killed In Plane Crash
Harry Holle, 29, former navy co-pilot from Hartley, was among those who were killed in the second air tragedy which occurred in Wyoming recently.
Mr. Holle, co-pilot of the plane, graduated from Hartley high school and enlisted in the navy air corps June 10, 1942. After being discharged from the service he accepted a position as pilot with the naval air transport service which duty he occupied at the time of the crash.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. B. Holle, who resides in Hartley and his wife whose home is in San Francisco, Calif.; two brothers and three sisters.
A military funeral was held last Monday afternoon, October 21, at the Legion hall in Hartley. Burial was at the Baker township cemetery near Melvin.
