The 1914 book, "Past and Present of O'Brien and Osceola Counties, Iowa" by Peck, Montzheimer, and Miller, is available online through the ISU County Histories Collection at the locations below. These two volumes are filled with useful information about the history of our county. (Biographies are in Volume II. Page numbers in the book do not correspond to those in the PDF, so it may be best to simply do a search within it.) Be aware, however, that these are very large files.
