In 1862 Mr. Jackson enlisted in the 97th Ohio Infantry where as a
soldier he made a brilliant record.
After the war Mr. Jackson went to Missouri where he lived several years
engaging in different trades having railroaded out of St. Louis
for some time.
In 1892 he moved to Iowa where he has since lived, being engaged in
lumber and grain business at Sanborn.
He is now serving his second term as County Supervisior and has
served the people well.

and since then he has resided on his farm-Section 11, Highland Township,
O'Brien County.
