1930-1939
1930 Adolph Bausch came to Wilton this year, lives in South Wilton.
Henry Blocker came to Wilton this year, a laborer, lives in South East Wilton.
James Sheetz came to Wilton this year, was in service but is now released. He is associated with the Western Auto Store, lives down town.
Hilbert Stoelk came to Wilton this year, a carpenter by trade, was in the service, now released, lives on Walnut Street.
Chas. Stack came to Wilton this year, employed in the Tri-Cities, lives in South Wilton.
Alfred Ehrecke came to Wilton this year, operates a County Road Maintainer, lives on 6th Street.
On May 30th, this year, the attic of Dr. H. P. Mason residence was destroyed by fire.
Elliott Cole came to Wilton this year, he is at the present time in the service.
Ellsworth Cole came to Wilton this year, drives truck for Paul Hedden, lives in North East Wilton.
1931 Fred Bartholoma came to Wilton this year, lives on West 5th Street.
Earl Beinke came to Wilton this year, released from the service, lives on West 4th Street.
Fred Angell came to Wilton this year, employed in the Tri-Cities, lives on East 5th Street.
Harlan Beincke came to Wilton this year, was in service, now released, lives on West 4th Street.
Clarence Beincke came to Wilton this year, is in the service, lives on East Third Street.
Harry Marolf came to Wilton this year, now operates a rendering plant truck, lives in South Wilton.
Elmer Swanson came to Wilton this year becoming Principal of the Wilton Schools. He is now Superintendent of the Wilton Schools, lives on North Chestnut Street.
1932 E. M. Lenker came to Wilton this year, has a team of horses to do hauling and plow gardens, lives on East 3rd Street.
Fred Holtz came to Wilton this year, is employed as a news distributor, lives on North Cedar Street.
Ed Johansen came to Wilton this year, is a barber by trade, establishment and home on East 4th Street.
Henry Bartholoma came to Wilton this year, lives on East 6th Street.
Paul Jesse came to Wilton this year, he is the proprietor of the pool hall on Cedar Street.
Alfred came to Wilton this year, he operates a rendering truck for a Davenport firm, lives in North East Wilton.
1933 Leo Maurer came to Wilton this year, is employed by the Wilton Milk Products Co.
Fred Mann came to Wilton this year, is employed at the Home Mix Feed Co., lives on East 5th Street.
Gale Reedy came to Wilton this year, lives south of the depot.
E. A. Giles came to Wilton this year, operates a filling station West end of 5th Street, lives on West 5th Street.
John H. Maurer came to Wilton this year. He is Secretary and Treasurer of the White Pigeon Insurance Association, also Secretary of the Independent School District of Wilton, resides on West 5th Street.
On October 9th of this year, the Hileman General Store was the scene of an attempted robbery by four bandits. During the encounter, gunfire was very prevalent for a few minutes. Later the bandits were captured and subsequently imprisoned.
1934 H. W. Rochholz came to Wilton this year, retired, lives on the north end of Maurer Street.
Harry Hahn came to Wilton this year, he is employed in Durant, lives in South Wilton.
The Railroad that had been operated between Wilton and Muscatine for about 80 years was abandoned this year.
The Economy Store was opened for business in 1934, the first manager was J. Soukop, he remained as manager for some time, then he was succeeded by C. J. Davies as manager. There has been several different people who have managed the store for short periods. It is now managed by Mrs. Clara Sterner, the store was at first opened in the Nicolaus Clothing building but is now in the Ross building.
Emil Baer came to Wilton this year, retired, lives on West 4th Street.
Richard Rochholz came to Wilton this year, he is employed at the Wilton Milk Products Co., he recently purchased the old D. G. Agnew residence.
1935 Carl Herr came to Wilton this year, he is a carpenter by trade, lives on East 5th Street.
John May came to Wilton this year, he is employed in the Tri-Cities, lives in the Bannick Apartments.
Ardel Crhistensen came to Wilton this year, assists his father in the grain and feed business, returned from the service and will reside upstairs of the Farmer's Bank Building.
Attorney E. W. Mead came to Wilton this year to practice law, was first over the Post Office later bought the Baker property on the North side of 4th Street and moved his office there. He lives first house north of the Methodist church. Mr. Mead is an alert attorney.
Allen Voss came to Wilton this year, returned from the service, he was employed in Tipton, lives on West 6th Street. Now employed with the Wilton Electric Company.
Francis Henderson came to Wilton this year, he operates a farm, lives on West 5th Street.
A. E. Christensen came to Wilton this year, he is in the grain and feed business, lives on West 6th Street.
Dr. G. A. Whetstine came to Wilton this year to practice his profession as an Osteopathic Physician, resides in a house he recently purchased from James Bacon on North Chestnut Street.
Kenneth Herr came to Wilton this year, was employed for some time at the J. H. Wacker Implement Co., but of late has been employed at the stone Quarry near Moscow, lives on East 5th Street.
1936 S. L. Torence came to Wilton this year to manage the Hawkeye Lumber Company, lives in North East Wilton, one of our good business men.
John Marolf came to Wilton this year, he has held various jobs, but at present is employed at the Hawkeye Lumber Co., lives on South Cherry Street.
Hilbert Gradert came to Wilton this year, he operated a meat market but is now co-operator of the Tipton Locker Plant, lives on West 5th Street.
Norman Peek came to WIlton this year, has been employed at various kinds of work, has been released from the service, built a home in North Wilton on East Waite Street, now an electrical contractor.
Elbert Wiebel came to Wilton this year, he is employed in the Tri-Cities, now lives on Maurer Street.
T. D. Birchard came to Wilton this year, he operates the jewelry department at the Star Drug Store, lives on West 6th Street, a good citizen.
1937 Fred Tharp came to Wilton this year, he assists Mr. Henderson on the farm, lives on West 5th Street.
Paul Thomas came to Wilton this year, he is employed as a carpenter with W. A. Grunder Sons, Contractors, now lives in Atalissa.
A. H. Mueller came to WIlton this year, he does all kinds of electrical work, lives on East 5th Street.
Roy W. Thomas came to WIlton this year, he is a painter and decorator by trade, lives on East 3rd Street.
Chas. Sambdman came to Wilton this year, has been released from the service, lives in South Wilton.
Burton Wall came to Wilton this year, first employed at the Friederichsen Green House, entered the service, now released. He operated the DX filling station for a few months, lives on West 5th Street.
1938 Sam King came to Wilton this year, he operates a filling station south of the depot, lives at the station.
Frank Wilson came to Wilton this year, is at present in the service, lives on West Summit Street.
Emil Moeller came to Wilton this year, retired, lives on Maurer Street.
L. J. Dayton came to Wilton this year, sort of handy man, lives south of the railroad.
Henry Sambdman came to WIlton this year, he worked at various places as a meat cutter, he is now employed at the Clover Farms Store, lives on East 4th Street.
Philson Lincoln came to Wilton this year, home is on East-North Railroad Street.
Clinton Lincoln came to Wilton this year, he is a teamster, lives on East 4th Street.
Henry Martin came to Wilton this year, retired.
Alex Parks came to WIlton this year, he has done various kinds of work.
L. M. Hatfield came to Wilton this year, was the proprietor and manager of the Hatfield filling station for some years, lives in North Wilton.
Chas. Adams came to Wilton this year, retired, lives on East 3rd Street.
Paul W. Johnson came to Wilton this year, retired, but somewhat interested with his son on the farm, lives on Cedar Street.
R. S. Grimm came to WIlton this year, is employed in the Tri-Cities, lives in South Wilton.
Henry Davis came to WIlton this year.
Walter Timmsen came to Wilton this year, employed in Durant, lives on East 3rd Street.
Ivan Sterner came to WIlton this year, employed with the repair gang of the railroad. Resides in the house he purchased South of the depot.
1939 The new City Hall building was built this year, large enough to house most of the cities needs, the auditorium or hall proper is a very large room and can accomodate most any crowd. In the basement there is a room for the Legion to meet in, also room for the Firemen. The Public Library is also in this building, Mrs. E. W. Mead being the Librarian. There are quite a number of books and periodicals to be found there. Also houses Council Chambers, Mayors Office, City Clerks Office and the fire apparatus is also housed in the building proper. The City Hall is an asset to the town.

Leslie Ferguson came to WIlton this year, does some gardening, lives in South Wilton.
L. J. Kiser came to WIlton this year, retired, lives at the corner of 5th and Cedar Streets.
Geo. Frymoyer came to WIlton this year, employed in the Tri-Cities, lives on East 6th Street.
Clarence Burmeister came to Wilton this year, now employed by the Byrne Construction Co. of Moline, released from the service December 19, 1945.
