WOMENS RELIEF CORPS The Womens Relief Corps of Henry Seilbert Post No. 212 was organized at Wilton Junction, Iowa, on July 25, 1890. The charter was approved the 31st of July, 1914, by Siraphine H. Osgood,department president, and Mary M.Walch, department secretary. The sixty members who signed the charter were: Elizabeth Morgridge, Mary Kelley, Fannie Cooling, Margaret C. Twomey, Mary C. Farrier, Mary E. Wise, Florence L. Farrier, Lottie Curtis, Kate Creitz, Nettie Cooling, Aletha Sanborn, Amanda J. Kelley, Mary Piggott, Fanny Marolf, Cynthia Hartman, Drusiella Moore, Louisa M. Syas, Lizzie A. Hucke, Haadssa C. Perry, Mary M. Morrison, Jane Davis, Nettie A. Leech, Kate Warren, Frances Derby, Mary D. Creitz, Emma Ingham, Mary J. Zell, Margaret M. Ayres, Ella A. Moynahan, Alice W. Carter, Johanna Albran, Elizabeth WIlhelm, Narcissa J. Palmer, Louisa L. Bently, Nellie E. Johnson, Dora F. Johnson, Mary A. Carl, Sara J. Dawson, Nellie M. Kelley, Emma F. Thompson, Annie E. Jewell, Angelina R. Chasteen, Fannie C. Morrison, Elizabeth Root, Elizabeth Michael, Alma J. Walker, Allie M. Herr, Lydia Scott, Harriet M. Everest, Lola J. Curtis, Kate Bacon, Ella Nicholas, Kittie Dawson, Clara Tharp, Mary E. Chandler, Elvira F. Tale, and R. Emeline Tate.
Daughters of veterans who were former members were : Anna Dwyer, Mary Thurston, Fannie C. Morrison, Kittie Dawson, Edith McCartney, Elsie C. Hart, Burdette Perry Lang, Anna Curtis, Stella Creitz, Jennie Hart, Margaret Hoskins, Susanna Lenker, Hallie D. Ford, Jeanette Derby, and Minnie Dice.
The local organization boasts six daughters of Civil War veterans who still maintain their membership. They are : Frankie Fulton, Lillie Whitmer, Lillie Duffe, Kate E. Creitz, Rozella M. Ford, and Margaret Angerer.
The membership at the present time is twenty-five. Serving as officers are : Irene Atkinson, president; Caroline Maurer, senior vice-president; Lillie Whitmer, secretary; Kate Creitz, treasurer; Nora Hucke, conductor; Margaret Kerr, assistant conductor; Ada Lincoln, guard; Mary Schroeder, assistant guard; Anna Luethye, Lena Potter, Louise Bicknese and Lillie Duffe, color bearers.
The corps hold a regular meeting the second Wednesday of each month and a work meeting once a month.
