THE FOLLOWING PARTIES
OPERATED THE PRESS
THE WILTON REVIEW

Beginning in 1877 J. M. Rider published the Review until about 1882, when it was taken over by Ott and Moynahan. Charles Ott and Jerry Moynahan. Mr. Ott soon quit the deal and Mr. Moynahan continued until he left the town. It was then taken over by C. D. Eaton who published it until about 1895. At that time it was merged with the Advocate.

In 1894 E. W. Clark began to Publish The Wilton Advocate. He continued its publication until his death, which occurred in 1909. After Mr. Clark's death it was published by the following: Pierrot and Parsons, Pierrot quit the job and Parsons continued to publish it until he left town, which was about 1917. It was taken up by George Mockmore who continued until he left town. It was then taken up by a party by the name of Hamilton, who continued it for a few years and then left town. Herman Thurston tried his hand at it, he died on the job in 1942. It was then taken up by the Lorenz's who are now operating it, and are again trying to bring it back to life, and they are doing a very good job, taking everything into consideration.

Mr. A. J. Allen came from Buffalo, Iowa, and began to publish a sheet named the Friendly Farmer. This was about the year 1889, he continued for several years, then gave it up as a bad job.

Professor Wm. Berg who was one of the faculty of the German English College, which was operating here at that time, began to publish a sheet known as the Wilton Herald. This was about 1897, its life short. He quit and left town.
