N. N. C. Four girls, Bertha Bacon Murrison, Irene Clark, Myrtle Whitmer, and Olga Smith Port, organized in 1901, the Priscilla Club for altruistic work. In 1902, with Mrs. C. C. Bacon, Mrs. D. E. Smith, Mrs. Emma Ingham, Mrs. E. R. King, Maybelle Marshall Danskin, Mrs. A. E. Ricksecker, and Mrs. G. H. Woodhouse, became charter members of the N. N. C.
In addition to their study, their altruistic work has been extensive and varied.
Through the initiative of Miss Lela Badger, the N. N. C. was successful in a movement for establishing a library in Wilton. They were able to interest other clubs and citizens in the movement. By continued effort we now have a successful library which is in use and constantly growing with the N. N. C. and other local support.
