THE WILTON LIONS CLUB The Wilton Lions Club was organized on August 24, 1932. The first officers were : President, D. A. Burrows ; Vice President, H. T. Birchard; Secretary, A. C. Baumgartner; Treasurer, H. G. Nicolaus.
The charter members were : H. G. Griffith, H. T. Birchard, A. J. Wacker, J. W. Duffe, H. G. Nicolaus, M. M. Harding, E. F. W. Maurer, John Roederer, H. F. Lauser, J. J. Hoskins, Gus Nopolous, T. H. Armstrong, D. V. Smull, W. A. Grunder, A. C. Baumgartner, Louis Miller, Earl Atkinson, D. L. Teasdale, Herbert Wacker, D. A. Burrows.
The purpose of this club is to sponsor any activity for the betterment of the community. The outstanding project to date was the organizing of the present Wilton Milk Products Co. Plays and WIlton Day celebrations have also been promoted. Some of the money raised has been donated to the Boy Scouts, The WIlton Library and for the education of the blind.
