OBITUARY.

MRS. SARAH HEADLEY, relict of Stephen Headley, died at the residence of her son in Kecklerville, yesterday, at the ripe age of 74 years. The deceased was born in Belmont county, Ohio. In 1830 she was married to Stephen Headley, and came with him to Muscatine in 1837, being therefore one of the oldest settlers. The deceased had been a consistent member of the Babtist church since 1842, and has now gone to reap her reward. The funeral will take place from the Baptist church, this (Thursday) afternoon, at 1 ˝ o’clock. Friends of the family are invited.

Resolutions adopted by the Old Settlers of Muscatine on the death of Mrs. Sarah Headley, (relict of Stephen Headley,) who died Dec. 11, 1878:

WHEREAS, It has pleased the Supreme Ruler of the universe to remove by death one of our oldest members whom we had known for more than forty years, and one that we have always recognized as one of our most estimable citizens and Christian women: therefore be it

Resolved, That we mourn the loss of our esteemed friend, although she was gathered to her fathers at the ripe age of almost seventy-four years.

Resolved, That we sincerely sympathize with the family and relatives of the deceased.

Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be published in the city papers, and that a copy be sent to the relatives of the deceased.
