HENRY STAHL Old Settler’s Meeting.
Pursuant to notice in the papers a number of the Old Settlers met at the City Hall yesterday morning, to take properaction concerning the death of Henry Stahl, one of our members.
The President and Secretary being absent, Moses Couch was called to the chair and J. G. H. Little appointed Secretary.
A motion by Mr. Molis prevailed that a committee of three, with M. Block as chairman, be appointed to draft resolutions setting forth our feelings of condolence and respect in this matter. Messrs. M. Block, G. W. Hunt and Henry Molis were made said committee.
Messrs. Block, Couch, Hunt and Molis spoke of their long acquaintance with deceased, and made mention of his virtues, prominent among which was his unflinching integrity and honesty.
On motion, the meeting unanimously consented to attend the funeral of deceased and deposit in the grave the usual evergreen symbol. On motion, adjourned.
