On the 7th inst., in Sweetland township, REBECCA LUCINDA BRISBINE, in the 52d year of her age. The deceased was born in Wesmoreland county, Penn., May 8th, 1823; was married in 1841, and removed to Muscatine county, Iowa, in 1843. While in the prime of life she gave her heart to God and her name to the M. E. Church, and for many years practiced the principles of the Gospel of her Saviour. Those she loved so well while with them on earth have the consolation of the assurance that if they are faithful until death they will meet the dead one who has “gone before,” where sin or sorrow can never come.

In the “Old Settlers’” Book of Remembrance there will now be another entry made of one more gone. Who next?
