Obituary.

DIED – At Palmyra, Nebraska, April 15th, 1874 of typhoid pneumonia, ESTHER BURDETT, age fifty years and twenty– five days.

Deceased was born in Indiana. At an early age she came with her parents to Iowa. In 1841 she was united in marriage to Humphrey Burdett, and since that time had been a resident of this country until in 1872, when she removed with her family to Nebraska. She ever displayed a true Christian character and resignation to the will of God and was endeared to those with whom she associated by her kind and cheerful disposition.

A light is from our circle gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our midst
Which never can be filled.
