DEATH OF DR. ELI REYNOLDS. ---- The oldest pioneer citizen of this vicinity, Dr. Eli Reynolds, died at Drury’s Landing, Ill., four miles from this city, at 9 o’clock this forenoon, -- According to his own statement, he was 85 years old on the 10th of this month. He came to the West from Indiana in 1835, locating at New Boston. Next year he moved to Geneva (a few miles above this city), which place he endeavored to make the county seat of “Musquitine, “ while representing the county in the Wisconsin Legislature, about 1838. He lived at Geneva nearly 12 years, then removed to Fairport, and afterwards to Moscow. During the past three years he made his home at S. R. Drury’s, in Drury’s Landing. He was practicing physician 56 years. He survived his family, and left no relative except his brother, James Reynolds, who lives in Drury township.

Funeral on Monday at 12 o’clock, at the Drury graveyard on Copper creek. The cortege will leave S. R. Drury’s at 10 o’clock.
