Dear Sir,
I would like to have my name on the Old Settlers list if I come in under that head. I was born in Muscatine near 51 years ago have never attended one of their meetings yet but would like to be counted one of them. I do not know as my husband’s name could be added to as he came in ’53, but if it could it would be nice. Mr. & Mrs. John Purvis. I have thought how nice it would be to have all the names down of the old settlers that have gone home over the river long ago. It seems to me it would be but ……… to try and keep their names in remembrance. Anyhow, my father was there in ’36, Isaac ……….also his brother Silas ………… . You will please add our names if it is ………….that should have them there, and greatly obliged. Mr. & Mrs. John Purvis.
