This union was blessed with nine children, seven of whom are left to mourn his loss and two died in infancy. Those left to mourn his departure are Henry and Lewis Meyers, also Mrs. Lewis Chown, and Mrs. George Chown, near Columbus Junction, and Jessie, near Muscatine. Also William, of Audubon, Iowa. Nine grandchildren are left to mourn their loss.

Mr. Meyers was a kind and good neighbor and will be missed as a neighbor, friend and father. May he rest in peace.
