DEATH OF NICHLAS BUTHMAN.

Nicholas Buthman, a citizen of Muscatine for the past forty-three years, went to his reward early this morning, after a tedious illness of about a year; the sad end came at 6:10 a.m., at his home on Grandview avenue. The fatal cancer, which had attacked the departed man’s stomach, was the cause of death. He is survived by his sorrowing wife, tow daughters and one son, the latter being Mrs. C.E. Richards and Mrs. Phillip Kopp, of this city, and Fred Buthman, of St. Louis, MO.

Mrs. Buthman was a native of Germany, having first seen the light of day in the country seventy-four years of age and had made this city his home ever since. He was a member of the German Lutheran church.

The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the German Lutheran church, Rev. H. Meyer conducting the services.
