A FORMER RESIDENT IS NO MORE
Jan 19, 1898 (hand written)

A letter from the southland brings the sad tidings of the death of MRS. LUCY A. CAMPBELL, formerly Mrs. Isett of this city. The missive came from Macon, Ga., to a niece, Mrs. Frank Warfield, the deceased having passed away on the 10th inst., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kennedy. Mrs. Campbell had been ill a short time with la grippe, but seemed convalescent, when she died very suddenly with rheumatism of the heart. The maiden name of the deceased was Miss Lucy Austin, she having come to Muscatine in 1843 with her parents. Here she resided continuously form about 30 years, her husband, Thos. Isett, being a prominent citizen engaged in banking. Subsequent to her marriage to Harry C. Campbell, who has large interests in Southern Florida and Mexico, they went to New Orleans, residing ever since in the south and for the past nine years made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Kennedy, at Macon, Ga., who with her husband and two brothers survive, the latter being Charles Austin of Lineville, Iowa, and William Campbell of Sylvia, Kansas. The funeral took place on January 2th at Macon.
