ANDREW FIMPLE DIES IN CHICAGO

The ensuing obituary notice of a former resident of Muscatine, appeared in yesterday’s issue of the Chicago Inter-Ocean:

“Andrew Fimple, county inspector for George W. Montgomery & Co., the well-known insurance firm, died at his home, No. 1746 York Place, yesterday afternoon at 4 o’clock. But three days ago the deceased was attacked with typhoid fever, death coming suddenly and unexpectedly. Mr. Fimple was 36 years of age and had lived in Chicago for a number of years. He leaves a wife and a 7-year-old boy. The funeral will take place from the family residence at 10 o’clock Thursday morning. Interment will be at Oakwood cemetery.”

Mr. Fimple was born and reared in Muscatine, being the only son of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Fimple, both deceased. Fourteen years since he went to Des Moines to enter the employ of the Hawkeye Insurance Company, and in 1886 moved to Duluth, Minn., and later to Superior, Wis., where he engaged in the manufacturing business. As mentioned previously, he has been with a prominent insurance firm in Chicago for the past few years, and it was over there that his mother died only a few weeks ago, her remains being brought to Muscatine for interment. In Duluth, Mr. Fimple was married to Miss Georgia Breese, who with one son mourns his death.
