ANSWER THE FINAL SUMMONS

MRS. ELIZABETH MARK died at 2:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 409 East Fourth street, after an illness of six days with pleuro-pneumonia. The decedent was born in Beren, Hessen-Cassel, and came to America from Germany when twenty-two years of age, locating in Muscatine, then Bloomington, and here she has resided ever since. Her maiden name was Anna Elizabeth Boerger, and in 1846 she was united in marriage with Bartel Mark, the issue of this union being seven children, of whom four survive, they being, John, Fred, Frank and Mrs. E. J. Zeidler. Her husband preceded her to the other world thirty-three years ago.

Deceased attained the age of 78 years, and enjoyed the best of health until three years ago, when she became afflicted with the grip. Mrs. Mark was a woman of domestic tastes and happiest in her home circle and neighborhood, where she was loved and respected. Hers was a religious nature, she being a member of the German M. E. church, though of late years she did not affiliate with any church organization.

The funeral appointment will await the coming of her absent son, Fred, who is on the road for a Chicago furnisher’s supply house.
