AN OLD RESIDENT

The venerable MRS. ELIZABETH MOSES closed her eyes on scenes terrestrial at dusk Sunday evening at the country residence of her daughter, Mrs. R.J. Dietrick in Sweetland township. To her the parting while sad was also a welcome release, she having been afflicted for several years with physical infirmities that rendered her wholly dependent upon the charity of those near and dear and which was ever vouchsafed to her. Mrs. Moses for many years resided constantly in this county and was known and esteemed by hundreds of people.

Though ill for a protracted period with dropsy she was note bedfast longer than since last Thursday. The sorrowing family circle comprises four sons and four daughters, they being Mrs. Nancy Fitzsimmons, of Nebraska; Mrs. John Holman, of Low Moor, Clinton county; Mrs. Alfred Tunison and Mrs. R.J. Dietrick, of Sweetland Township, this county; Philander, of Kansas City; Marcellus, of Denver, Col,; Levi D, of Des Moines, and John, of Portland, Oregon. The funeral is appointed to take place this afternoon at one o’clock from the house and services will be held at the Sweetland church at 2 o’clock. Interment will be made in the Sweetland cemetery.
