DEATH OF W. B. GREGG OF WEST LIBERTY.

Old settlers and a wide circle of friends and acquaintances in Muscatine and Muscatine county will learn with great regret the sad news of the death of W. B. Gregg, an old and highly respected citizen of West Liberty, which occurred at his home last night. These sorrowful tidings were rather unexpected to his immediate relatives, who, although they knew of his rapidly failing health, were not anticipating the end. The immediate cause of his death was heart disease.

Deceased was born in Relucont county, Ohio, about sixty-three years ago. He came to Iowa early in the 50’s and settled on a farm near West Liberty, where he resided until about ten years ago. When he moved into the town of West Liberty and engaged in the mercantile business, which he pursued until death.

He is survived by three sons, John and Otis, residing at home, and Sherman, of Crowley, La. The funeral services have not been announced.
