BURIAL OF L. A. BOWLSBY.

On yesterday L. A. Bowlsby was buried from his home in West Liberty. Mr. Bowlsby was among the pioneer of Wapsinonoc township, having removed thither from Indiana, his native state, sometime in the 40s. For many years he was engaged in agricultural pursuits - at the early day when the wolf and the resin weed were to be found not far from his doorstep but after West Liberty sprang into existence, he established himself within her borders – where for many years he was proprietor of its first hotel, subsequently embarking in other lines of business. Mr. Bowlsby was of a very quiet, unobstrusive disposition and while alive to every matter of public interest, preferred to look out upon the world from his own fire side rather than join the multitude along its noisier path. He was a faithful friend, a kind father, and excellent citizen. In his immediate family he leaves his widow and his only surviving daughter, Mrs. Chas. Regnier, to mourn his loss while the entire community among whom he has lived so long and pleasantly confess that a good man has fallen and regard the sad event in the light of a common bereavement.
