OBITUARY.
MRS. DANIEL B. JOHNSON

JUDITH PAIGE was born in Weare, N.H., on the 17th of October, 1808, one of the youngest of eight children, who were all at rest before her in the autumn of 1834 she was united in marriage to Daniel Fry, of North Sandwich, N.H. In 1854 they removed to Oskaloosa, Iowa, having with them their two children and his parents, then quite aged people. Their children are Rev. John Fry, of Greenville, Iowa, and Rev. Pliny Fry, of this place. In 1849 their home was changed to Sweetland township, this county. In March 1875, her beloved companion went over to the home above.

In July 1877, she was married to Daniel B. Johnson, who departed this life last June. She was a life-long member of the Friends church and was faithful and loyal to the best of her ability. She first made public profession of the experience of the saving grace of Jesus Christ in 1860, after which she often was heard to speak of the goodness of God to one so unworthy as she ever felt herself to be.

During the last six months she had twice been prostrated by sickness, from which she seemed to recover, although there was constantly evident a rapid decline, consequent upon her advance age, until without any apparent disease she passed very quietly away at 6 a.m., January 17, 1805.

Funeral Saturday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. at the Bloomington Friends church, Muscatine county, Iowa.
