CAMP CORSE NOTES.

Burlington Gazette: Lieutenant Colonel Jackson, of Muscatine, is in command of the First battalion, comprising companies, I, F, A and E, during Major Heaslip’s absence on sick leave. Lieutenant Jackson is the successful contestant in the recent election for lieutenant colonel, and is acquitting himself nobly.

Nearly all the sharpshooter badges noticeable are worn by Co. C, of Muscatine. Many of them are decorated with two, one under the State and one under the national rules. Co. C has thirty-two men in camp. Five more will join them to-morrow. Mr. Moss, city editor of the Muscatine JOURNAL, is among Co. C’s most efficient members.
