Died Where She was Born, at the Age of 97 Years

MISS MARGARET N. McQUESTEN, who for ninety-seven years has lived in the old McQuesten homestead on South Main street, West Side, died last evening about 10:30, of old age.

Miss McQuesten was the last survivor of the family of David and Margaret Fisher McQuesten, and had lived in the old home from her birth, dying in the same room in which she was born, just 97 years, 3 months and 28 days ago. For many years she was a member of the Presbyterian church of Bedford, which she joined when 18 years of age. At the time of her death she was a member of the South Main street church – Manchester, (N. H.) Union, 10th.

The deceased was the aunt of W. W. McQuesten and S. P. Sawyer, of this city. It is not often that one reads such a remarkable statement, for it is highly probable that it is the only case on record of its kind.
