DIED.

GOLDSBERRY-At the home of her son, C. W. Goldsberry, No. 114 east Second street. Thursday, September 29, 1892, of general debility, Mrs. E. S. GOLDSBERRY, aged 71 years and 6 months.

Mrs. Goldsberry had been in feeble health for some time, but felt strong enough to leave her home in Seventy-six township on Labor day to visit with her sons, living in this city. The exertion proved too much for her, and since then she has gradually failed, passing away at 5:45 o’clock Thursday afternoon at the home of her son, C. W. Goldsberry.

Mrs. Goldsberry was born in Franklin county, Ohio, in 1822. She was a sister of the late Hon. D. G. McCloud, and came to Iowa and Muscatine county with him in 1840, and had for many years resided in Seventy-Six township. She was a noble woman, universally beloved and esteemed by all who knew her. Mrs. Goldsberry had been a consistent member of the High Prairie M. E. church for many years. She is survived by three sons, C. W. and Will D. of Muscatine, and C. C., on the home farm. A sister, Mrs. McCroy, resides is Iowa City, and a brother in California.

The funeral is appointed for this afternoon at 2 o’clock, from High Prairie chapel.
