Joined the Silent Majority.

The venerable MRS. ROBERT WILLIAMS has gone to her reward having passed away yesterday morning at her home on east Fifth street after a lingering illness. The immediate cause of her death was pneumonia superinduced by grippe.

The deceased was born in Philadelphia and was a step-daughter of Richard Penn Smith, her maiden name being Julia A. Lincoln. July 7, 1840 she was united in marriage with the late Judge Williams in her native city and fifteen years later they came to Iowa and Muscatine where she had resided uninterruptedly ever since. She was a woman whose great beauty of character won for her the esteem of a large and admiring circle of friends with whom she was a great favorite.

Two daughters, Elinor M. and Sarah B. and a son, R. Blake mourn her loss. The time of the funeral remains to be appointed.
