MRS. REECE HOOPES Word has been received of the death of Mrs. Reece Hoopes, of Goodland, Kan., a former long time resident in this vicinity, who died at her home Friday morning. Deceased was a native of Virginia but came west with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bumgardner, while still a child, and was counted among the early settlers of Lake township, living there until four years ago.
Mrs. Hoopes was 60 years, 7 months and 9 days old, and leaves her sorrowing husband and 5 children to grieve over her demise, the latter being Mrs. Hannah Springer, of this city, J. G. Hoopes, of Denver, Geo. Hoopes, of Goodland, Kan., and Walker Hoopes, now residing in the Indian territory.
The remains were transported here for interment.
