DIED

NORMAN. – At her home, No. 1003 east Front street, Friday May 16, 1890, of a complication of diseases, MRS. CHAS. NORMAN, aged 68 [?] years and 3 months.

For many months deceased had been sorely afflicted with a malady of a serious nature, and bore her sufferings with heroic patience. She was a lady of kind and considerate disposition, and her loss will be deeply regretted by a large circle of friends.

Mrs. Norman was born in Wismar, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and resided in her native land until October, 1854 when she came to America, living at Buffalo, N. Y., a year before locating in Muscatine, which had been her home ever since. Her maiden name was Minnie Foss, and in 1853 she was united in marriage to the sorrowing husband, who alone survives.
