DIED

At her home, seven miles from the city, on the Iowa city road, July 1, 1886, of dropsy, ALMARIA, wife of George SATTERTHWAITE, in her 61st year.

Deceased had been long subject to her fatal ailment, but was able to attend to her household duties. She was alone in her room when the fatal stroke was given. Her fall was heard by her daughter, who hastened to her succor, but no relief or help was possible; the end had come.

Deceased was one of the comparative old settlers of the county, she and her husband settling here in 1847. She will long be remembered for her Christian and domestic virtues. The husband and five children survive, three sons and two daughters.

The funeral took place on Saturday, the Rev. D.A. Watters, officiating.
