MRS WM. WHITE
DIED

At Muscatine, July 22, 1885, at 5 p. m., of spinal trouble, MRS. WM. WHITE, aged 66 years and 19 days. The intimate friends of deceased know of the seriousness of the malady which has affected her for some months, but the wide circle of patrons to whose taste she has ministered for over a quarter of a century will be wholly unprepared for the above announcement.

Deceased with her husband came from Paisley, Scotland and settled in Muscatine in 1851. Since that time as manager of the popular millinery store established by her husband and self, her name has grown to be a household word in the domestic circles of the city and county. She united to excellent qualifications for her critical place, an integrity of character that won universal confidence and she will be missed as a personal friend by her whole circle of custom. Mr. White is left to mourn over a desolate home and Mary and William Banker, niece and nephew of deceased, will join him in sorrowing for the loss of one to whom they are indebted for a motherly kindness and care.

Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church, and the funeral will take place from the church to-morrow at 2 p. m.
