Rural Schools to Start Opening Next Week – Remainder
Open Sept. 2 or 3.The majority of teachers who taught in the rural schools of Muscatine county will be back in their respective positions when school sessions begin late this month or early in September. E. D. Bradley, county superintendent, reports in listing the assignment of teachers for the year. All positions but five have been filled according to reports received by Mr. Bradley from the individual school boards. Of the five schools, the boards are awaiting to determine the grades of two. The selection of the other three has not been officially reported.
Opening dates of the rural schools will vary. Some will begin classes the last week in august, others will open Monday, Sept. 2 and the remainder on Sept. 3.
Nine month terms have been arranged for practically all of the schools with the vacation dates scheduled as in former years.
The assignment of teachers follows:
